In The Sky (Not Yours Anymore)

Angels walk and angels talk and angels go to jail.
Men in black pajamas wait behind the safety rail.
Goofy-faced Anita in her brand new pair of jeans
tries her best to look about 6 years older than she seems.
Walking past the restaurant, he seemed so self absorbed.
Still trying to invest in all the mistakes he could afford:
He was never looking for a match.
She would take the first man she could catch.
But now the shark is standing at the door, saying,
'Honey, she's not yours anymore.'

They were good for old times sake and they could woo the crowd.
They could sing the people in the sky down to the ground.
She wore flowers he gave her in her hair.
Every person new them as a pair.
Every mouth is dormant but it soon will come alive.
Every life has death but it somehow can survive.
So as the words came pouring from her mouth,
the birds began to slowly migrate south.
His manly strength has fallen to the floor;
'Honey, I'm not yours anymore'

Give a shilling to the man who's lost his self-esteem.
Give a thousand to the man who isn't who he seems.
Take care of 'All My Children' and my brother with the flu.
Sell off all the acres. Turn the horses into glue.
My commitment has been rotted to the core;
Honey, I'm not yours anymore.
