I've been hearing words of condescension and release;
The mayor and the congressman are fighting with the priest.
In the tiny chamber, where the lawyer ponders hate,
Someone is chasing after the final train, but it's just too late.

Sitting on a park bench fifteen meters from the chapel,
The mother of society is choking on her apple.
The media is begging, chiding, calling for a change;
Looking up to God and saying, oh, you're way out of range.

Flaccid facets of the organization,
Are shrugging their shoulders at the infiltration.
They don't see significance of this integration,
Of the apple of society and all this indoctrination.

Yes, I've heard the news, in the New York Times;
Belief in Jesus Christ is a serious crime,
If it does not celebrate the journey of man,
And elevate our power in the only way we can.
In America, God is only who we want him to be.
