Together we moved all the children,
And settled our caravan out in the wild.
We didn’t see promise for hundreds of miles;
I’d started to wonder if our faith was in vain.
Be still in the darkness that creeps through the valley,
And you’ll be surprised what you see in the night.
The beauty of ends and beginnings; of heaven and earth; of dying; of birth.
All’s still when the darkness creeps over that hill.
When you can’t go no further, you’re met with a choice.
Either retrace your steps or try to swallow your instincts.
Yet we had too much to fit on our table.
So the only thing left was to swallow our fate.
I hear all the laughter; I hear all the tears,
Still I will wait as the rescue team nears
Racing along to try and help me remain
Everyone, everywhere does it the same.
