Written and recorded over the course of Seven days at the end of July during downtime in the mixing process of 451.
Let's call this record what it is. It's a synth-pop record that is vaguely ambient. Nothing more. No extreme lofty goals behind it. It's rather knowingly goofy. A few of the tracks have the same production notches as 451, which shouldn't be too surprising considering the above factoid I mentioned above. Probably my least purchased record, most people don't seem to be interested in electronic music unless it uses voice samplings saying "the body-rock y'all" or "funk soul brother." It definitely isn't big-beat made-for radio electronica so I'm not that annoyed. Plus, it isn't experimental either so I'm not expecting some Merzbow-loving indie to get into it either.
This record now holds a special place in my heart because my Roland Xp-10 was used exclusively (with the exception of the drumbeats) to make all the tracks. The instrument has since been stolen and I have no intention of replacing it. It was my first synth, and I will miss it. This record is kind of like the ghost of the odd, goofy synth.
