The 6-Track EP by Pendulum

The archives release for the beginning of October is a special one. In 1997, at the ripe old age of 15, I started writing music pretty seriously. That is, within my mind as a 15-year-old. Deep within the throws of "Alternative" music, I wrote songs often and jammed with my friend Matt Mepham who played guitar...as seriously as I wrote music. This first record of ours, a six track EP, was released in 1999, which almost seems ridiculous compared to some of the recordings to follow in 2001 and 2002, but that time made all the difference to me as a songwriter and at this point I was stll using whatever material I had, which in 1999 were songs I had written in 97 and 98...lyrically I'm pretty embarassed with all these ditties, but musically, despite their obvious connection to certain metal, alternative and british-rock bands, I am OK with what is to follow. I am not, of course, OK with the recording quality of the whole thing. But these recordings that follow here on imeem are actually the "remastered" versions of the tracks anyway...so you'll hear them like few have heard them. Whether that's a good thing or not, I don't know.
